Chapter 2121, page 2.119: Please land, everyone.
In 1982, the Costa Rican government agreed to lease the island of Jurassic Park (Island B), the Muerte Islands (Island of the Five Dead), and Isla Nublar (Island A) to the international genetics company InGen for 99 years (Jurassic Park trilogy). The Masrani Global Corporation, controlled by Indian tycoon Simon Masrani, subsequently inherited the lease (Jurassic World).
During its operation on the island, the international genetic technology company InGen constructed roughly four zones.
The Embryo Management Bureau was the main factory for the mass production of dinosaurs, and there was also a makeshift airfield near the bureau. Later, a large aviary was built for the study and isolation of genetically mutated pterosaurs. Along the river (River B) connecting the aviary, there were several cages, a boat used to transport dinosaurs, and a makeshift harbor. The Workers' Village was a small camp that served as staff quarters on Sona Island, and it also had a communications tower that connected to the mainland and a geothermal power plant that provided a stable source of electricity. InGen continued to operate on Sona Island until shortly after the Isla Nublar incident in 1993, when a hurricane struck the island, forcing the evacuation of all personnel.
In 1999, a small team of InGen scientists illegally landed on Sona Island in violation of the 1997 Gene Guardians Act and began cloning dinosaur species that had not been created before and were therefore not on the "InGen list." These dinosaurs were secretly bred and experimented on, with care taken to prevent the emergence of any carnivorous dinosaurs. The process lasted nine months, and the new species included ankylosaurs, ceratopsians, plesiosaurs, and spinyosaurs. These were all abandoned on the island after the scientists left.
Prior to the Lockwood Estate incident in 2018 (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Biosyn, a genetic company, abducted dinosaurs from Isla Nublar and transported them to a dinosaur sanctuary Biosyn had illegally established in the Italian Dolomites. However, after the Isla Nublar dinosaurs were released into the continental United States, Biosyn ceased its abduction of Isla Nublar. It is believed that dinosaurs still existed on the island in 2022 and survived until 2027, while dinosaurs scattered around the world have retreated to equatorial tropical environments (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom).
Workers' Village is a small town on Sona Island, built to house InGen's B Island construction workers. Echoing its innovative facilities, the entire complex is designed to be self-sufficient in geothermal energy. Perched at the foot of a cliff overlooking a lush meadow, the village features a gas station and an adjacent mechanic shop equipped with all the tools needed to repair InGen vehicles on the island. Together, they form an adjacent complex located to the left of the operations building. Between the geothermal power plant and the boarding houses is a two-story mechanic shed, also known as the "cave." The cave is connected to the dormitories by a single-story building and works in conjunction with the geothermal power plant to absorb and utilize geothermal energy. The boarding houses, the second largest building in the village, offer ample space for workers to live comfortably. These two-story cottages are built in a plantation style with patchwork shingles on the roof, and balconies encircle part of the second floor. They include a dining room, toilets, restrooms, lounges, and recreation rooms. During a hurricane, InGen evacuated the area, and the village was subsequently taken over by a group of velociraptors.
The attached buildings include: a high-voltage electric fence, a geothermal power plant, a gas station, a kiln, a boarding house, and an operations building.
The spacious, square operations building is located at the deepest part of the workers' village and serves as the village's control center. The operations building is surrounded by a small moat, and the main building consists of three floors: a large walkway surrounding the front, the main building, and a helipad.
A wide staircase leads from the ground floor to the second floor via a platform. The main entrance, adorned with a double-glazed glass door, features an egg-shaped design similar to that of the Isla Nublar visitor center entrance. Behind the double glass doors is the control hall, which serves as both the main information desk and the waiting area for the building's helipad. This area is also where visitors must check in during their stay on the island. To the right of the hall is the island's communications center, equipped with various information displays, radios, and other communication equipment. This room also houses the main circuit breaker, controlling the power supply to the entire workers' village. Behind the lobby reception desk hangs a mural depicting a panoramic view of a fantasy Jurassic Park: Isla Nublar. To the right of the mural is a short corridor connecting to a set of staircases leading to the helipad. Next to the helipad stands a metal dome structure, serving as both a maintenance tower and an observation deck.
The operations building suffered severe damage during the hurricane, with most of the railings and cage-like structure warped and rusted. Parts of the metal roof were stripped away, exposing exposed metal beams that were beginning to rust. Most of the windows were broken, and the interiors were consumed by invading vines, mold, and other plants. Today, the building is almost a ruin, with a thick layer of dead leaves still clinging to the exterior staircases.
Sometime during this period, Dr. Kate Walker and her researched and trained female Troodon named Jenny secretly moved to this location.
As for the prototype, the "dinosaur decoder" worn only by the female Troodon "Jenny" was also technically retrieved by Dr. Kate Walker and improved into a mass-produced "two-way brainwave control ring": humans wear the master control ring, and dinosaurs wear the controlled ring.
Of course, it goes without saying that the magical hand of the players behind the scenes must have changed the course of Dr. Kate Walker's personal storyline.
As per the original storyline, just as Island A was later destroyed by the eruption of Mount Sibo, Island B was destroyed even earlier by Hurricane Clarissa. Years later, when the Pulsebreaker team returned to Island B and looked down upon the human ruins destroyed by the hurricane, they made new discoveries.
Indeed, although the exteriors still appear dilapidated, many buildings show clear signs of having undergone multiple repairs. However, deep scans reveal that the interiors of many of these renovated buildings are now empty. Clearly, they were killed in a staged event earlier.
Fortunately, the most dazzling operating building in that workers' village is still in operation.
"C6-BDW-2, calling Dr. Kate Walker, respond if you hear me." Captain Nine-Tails made the call using the activated radio.
"I am Kate Walker, C6-BDW-2. Please state the purpose of my visit." Judging from the female doctor's voice, she seemed quite surprised by the field team's visit.
“Dr. Kate Walker, we are survivors from C Island, and we have come to ask you some questions about the ‘brainwave control ring’,” Captain Nine-Tailed stated directly.
"What's wrong with the 'brainwave control loop' again?" Dr. Kate Walker's use of the word "again" itself reveals a lot.
"That's how it is..." Captain Nine-Tailed recounted the details of the giant overlord of C Island, the Deformed King, wearing a "giant brainwave control ring."
"You mean the 'giant brainwave control ring' that can control the 100-meter-long giant tyrannosaurus rex?" Dr. Kate Walker confirmed again.
"Yes, Doctor. It's the 'Giant Brainwave Control Ring' that can control the hundred-meter-long giant Tyrannosaurus Rex." Captain Nine-Tailed repeated with certainty.
"My God..." This was clearly far beyond Dr. Kate Walker's comprehension: "How could this be?"
"We didn't expect this either." Seeing that the time was right, Captain Nine-Tails immediately asked, "Doctor, can we land now?"
“Of course, of course.” Dr. Kate Walker then turned on the landing lights and raised the tarmac: “Please land, everyone.”
