Chapter 173 Drowsy
Chapter 173 Drowsy
Astoria didn't expect that the two-month vacation would end so soon, and she and Daphne soon boarded the express train to the new grade.
Platform 9 3/4 was crowded with people, steam was floating above the crowd, and the fog made it hard to see far away. Astoria and Daphne stood against the wall not far from the door, picking up the textbooks and parchment that had accidentally flown out of their backpacks and scattered on the ground.
"Be careful!" Daphne, who was squatting on the ground, couldn't see the person passing by. When the offending foot was about to step on Leah's parchment paper, she subconsciously reached out and pushed it away.
"Holy shit! How dare - Daphne? and Leah!" It turned out to be Draco who was holding his head high and not looking at the road. He was originally very angry, but when he saw Leah and Daphne squatting in the corner picking up books, his anger disappeared.
"It's you." Draco retracted his foot that almost fell on another piece of paper, coughed awkwardly a few times, and helped them pick up the nearby debris.
"Thank you!" Leah took her things from Draco. Her head swayed a few times with dizziness before she staggered to her feet. It was the aftereffect of squatting for too long.
"What a coincidence to meet you here, isn't it? Let's get in the car together!" Draco quickly decided on the actions of the three of them, and pulled Leah to line up to get in the car.
Leah blinked blankly, subconsciously turned her head to look at Daphne who had just zipped up her bag, and when she saw her nod in agreement, she followed Draco into the car with peace of mind.
"Hey!" There was no empty seat in the entire carriage, until the door at the end was suddenly opened from the inside. Zabini stuck his head out and smiled at Leah.
"Finally..." Draco really couldn't stand the hot and crowded corridor anymore. The moment he saw Zabini, he immediately strode over with his luggage.
In this carriage, besides Zabini, Pansy and Theodore were sitting next to him and opposite him respectively.
As soon as Draco approached, Pansy couldn't wait to pull Zabini back and sit him down by the window, and squeezed in forcefully, just so that Draco could sit contentedly in the spacious and comfortable seat next to her.
"Oh my Pansy, why are you so excessive? I'm so heartbroken!" Zabini was squeezed so hard that he could only cross his legs. He staggered and grabbed Pansy's arm and pinched it hard.
"Are you going to die?" Pansy cried out in pain, and without any hesitation she stepped hard on Zabini's shiny shoes, leaving a gray mark.
"Uh... forget it. I'll go sit with Leah." Draco was annoyed by these quarrelsome rivals. Before Pansy's elbow almost touched his face, he stood up and changed seats with Daphne.
"Draco!" Pansy's somewhat shrill voice caused passers-by outside the window to cast their eyes over. Daphne considerately pulled the dark yellow curtains and handed Pansy a candy.
"Okay, have a candy, don't be angry." Daphne's patient eyes and gentle tone easily coaxed Pansy. She opened her mouth to eat the fruit candy and asked in confusion, "When did you carry candy with you?"
"Ahem..." Daphne didn't answer. Her blue eyes, which were exactly the same as Leah's, glanced subconsciously at the opposite side. At this time, Leah seemed to have noticed something tacitly, and looked up at Daphne, then gave her a sweet smile in return.
"Speaking of candy, Leah, my mom said she could send you lots more if you like."
"Really? Thank Aunt Narcissa for me, I love it!" Leah's sapphire blue eyes sparkled, and she nodded excitedly in response to Draco.
As expected, sweets are the best thing for Leah!
"You're welcome. In fact, you can write to your mother yourself. She will be happy to chat with you!" Draco raised his head with a confident smile on his face. He took out several colored candies from his pocket and stuffed them into Leah's arms.
Soon, Draco started chatting with Pansy and Daphne again. Leah couldn't get a word in, so she looked around bored. When she looked up, she saw Zabini supporting his face with one hand and blinking, his bright peach eyes staring at her intently.
?
Leah started, tilted her head and blinked in confusion at Zabini.
Zabini was winking at Leah, hinting at something, his eyebrows twisted and raised in a funny way. Following his gaze, Leah saw Theodore leaning against the window, quietly drawing on the newspaper.
"Theodore, stop reading, how about playing some games!" Zabini stretched out his hand to grab the newspaper from Theodore's hand, but Theodore dodged it quickly. He put down the quill silently, his eyes still half closed, lifeless.
"I brought the Exploding Cards!" Zabini cheered and took out a card box with the Exploding Cards logo printed on it from behind.
"Such a cramped space, so many flammable fabrics..." Theodore said, tapping the wooden table and the cheap fabric on the sofa with his knuckles. Finally, he added, "If you want to be beaten up by Pansy and everyone in the car, just say so. There's no need to use these prefixes."
"It's boring. Don't you feel bored? We won't get to Hogwarts until the evening..."
"Of course not, I'm just playing a more civilized game..." Theodore's mouth corners slightly raised, and his tone was raised as if he was teasing Zabini's embarrassment.
"You're playing games? What what?"
Zabini's eyes suddenly lit up, and he excitedly reached out and grabbed Theodore's arm, shaking it hard again and again.
"This is a magic symbol puzzle game launched by the Daily Prophet. You won't like it." Theodore sighed helplessly and spread the newspaper in his hand on the table. Perhaps he noticed the gaze approaching from the side, so he hooked his finger slightly and slightly tilted the newspaper towards Leah.
But in fact, Leah was dozing off with her head shaking. The train ride to Hogwarts was still long, and sleepiness gradually swept over Leah's body. Her eyelids were heavy, and even eating candy did not relieve it much. In the end...
pat-
Leah tilted her head towards Theodore's shoulder, lost consciousness and fell into a deep sleep.
But Theodore always reacted quickly. He felt the temperature close to his side and almost subconsciously pulled up the newspaper to block his shoulders. Leah pressed down heavily. Even with the newspaper of the Daily Prophet, Theodore could still clearly feel the warm and soft skin. He lowered his eyelids, and there was a deep and indifferent emotion in his lake blue eyes. He silently glanced at the fair face close at hand, with small and delicate facial features scattered here. The slow breathing made Theodore's neck itch from time to time.
